There are so many trades and disciplines out there than no one person can be an expert in them all. We aim to help by offering publications on best practice, helpful resources hosted by others, tips, buying guides, and tutorials.

Guest authors are asked to ensure that they follow these contributor guidelines. Guest authors agree that:

The author or sponsor is authoritative in their chosen subject;
Their proposal would be of interest to developers, facility management companies, landlords, builders, architects, regulators, or those in the fire industry;
The piece is written in a way which is consistent with the rest of the website;
The author has the authority to use any assets (such as images) which they use within their piece;
Links are relevant to the article (guest authors can place a link to their own site in their author bio);
The piece is original and hasn’t been posted elsewhere;
The author consents to us changing the post at any time (typically to correct errata or for legal purposes).
